This original paddle board design is a new entry into Totally Bamboo's beloved Hawaiian Collection, boasting practicality and style. The 13" Paddle Board natural colored, opposing grain end cap and handle, giving the board a fetching aesthetic look and prevents warping with its unique design. With its petite size, the 13" Paddle Board is perfect for cutting food and handling small items. Bamboo is actually 16% harder than maple making it a superior material for cutting boards and housewares. These unique products are handcrafted using flattened bamboo strips. The cutting boards are laminated with Totally Bamboo's approved food grade adhesive. They do not use stains or paint. Through a very specialized heating process, the natural sugar in the wood is caramelized producing the beautiful honey color. This color is permanent and will not wash off. Bamboo is a grass that grows to a harvestable height between 3 to 4 years, some species growing up to 2 feet per day. It has an extensive root system that continually sends up new shoots, naturally replenishing itself. It does not require replanting making it one of the world's most renewable resources.
