Description
In the central-Italian province of Perugia lies Umbria, containing the designated olive-growing zone of Colli Assisi-Spoleto. Notable for its hilly terrain, it produces many varieties of superb olives, and this oil is made with three of them: Moraiolo, Leccino, and Frantoio. This particular blend provides a nuanced balance of flavors, but fruity notes are dominant. Also present are hints of sweet almond, flowers, herbs, and freshly-cut grass. The finish is a little peppery, influenced by the Moraiolo olives. Fish, vegetables, and grilled or boiled meats take well to this cold-pressed olive oil. 16.9oz/500mL bottle.
