Albacore is widely considered the most premium tuna, and we source ours from the Bay of Biscay and South Africa, partnering with fisheries known for landing exceptionally high-quality fish. Caught during the albacore tuna (Thunnus alalunga) fishing season between June and August for peak quality. Packed at a traditional Spanish cannery founded in 1869, which has refined its artisanal canning process over centuries. Each tin is packed by hand with Spanish olive oil and salt, our Tuna with Spicy Olive Oil is infused in-house using hot paprika, cayenne, white pepper, garlic, and salt.
